Welcome Back Beer Night – Monday, September 4th – 7:00PM
Location: Crazy Cactus, 269 3rd Avenue S, Saskatoon Sk.
Nothing says Welcome Back like a beer night! We know everyone is sad that summers over, but we’re also excited to be able to reunite everyone before school starts. Come out to the Crazy Cactus upper level to enjoy some free beer, and share all of your wild stories from the summer with everyone you’ve been missing. All we ask is that you dress in the craziest, goofiest, most mix-matched outfit you can come up with because this year’s theme is ‘I can’t believe you’re wearing that’.
First Year Orientation & BBQ – Tuesday, September 5th - 10:15AM (Nutrition), 1:30PM (Pharmacy & Nutrition)
Location: Health Sciences Building – Room 1150 – E-Wing
Come out and get an introduction to the college. We’ll tell you what to expect for the upcoming year, and answer any questions you might have! You will also have a chance to meet some of the faculty and the SPNSS council. Following lunch, there will be an introduction and some important information from the faculty. Later in the afternoon you will get to meet the SPNSS council, and will then be broken down in to groups for tours of the Thorvaldson and Health Sciences buildings. Following the tours and meetings with faculty and staff, we’re having a BBQ with food and beverages. While enjoying your food and chatting with your new classmates, you’ll also be able to meet your big buddies! This is an awesome opportunity to get a feel for how great the college is! There will be NO 3rd/4th years allowed unless you’re a big buddy!
Slo-Pitch – Wednesday, September 6th – 4:00 PM
Location: Ball diamonds behind Education Building
An event where you don’t need to have experience to have a great time! Join the action at the diamonds behind the Education Building and hit some home runs or just come to watch, catch some sun, and eat some sunflower seeds. There will be one diamond booked for slo-pitch, and a second diamond for other activities such as frisbee, soccer, football, etc. Please be sure to bring a ball glove if you have one, and if you’d like to take part in the other activities in the second diamond feel free to BYOB (bring your own balls). A BBQ will be provided by the SPNSS council during the games, so don’t forget to bring your appetite! This will also give the first years a chance to meet their second year buddies if they haven’t yet.

We all know you have a pile of flannel hiding in your closet, what true Canadian wouldn’t! This year’s theme is Lumberjack, so it’s time to pull out all of your flannel, and show off that beard you’ve been trying to grow for the cold months. So take a break from cutting down trees and meet us at Outlaws at 7:00pm and be ready to load the bus at 7:30pm for our next stops: Crazy Cactus, Twisted Tartan and the Hose. All we ask is that you leave the axes at home, despite being good for chopping wood they don’t mix well with alcohol.
Tickets are $10.
