Overview

The Saskatchewan Structural Sciences Centre (SSSC) is a multidisciplinary research centre established with support from the Canada Foundation for Innovation, the Government of Saskatchewan, Canada/Saskatchewan Western Economic Partnership Agreement (WEPA) and the University of Saskatchewan. It is a facility that complements the Canadian Light Source (CLS) and will be of benefit to researchers requiring structure-determination services from universities, government and private sector. The SSSC is located in over 1000 m2 of renovated space in the Thorvaldson Building on the University of Saskatchewan Campus - just a few minutes walk from the CLS.

In addition to structure-determining services, SSSC staff will instruct qualified potential users on the operation of the available instruments and the interpretation of data. The centre encourages inquiries concerning the development of new methodologies and welcomes contract and potential collaborative work.
