CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS

The success of a large event such as the STLHE conference depends largely on the support of volunteers.  We are looking for enthusiastic and outgoing volunteers to join our conference team.  Volunteers are needed to provide support for a number of areas during the conference: to help with registration, audio-visual support, the introduction of presenters, and the direction of conference attendees.

As a volunteer, you’ll be able to network at an internationally-recognized conference with a range of interesting academics interested in issues of learning and teaching; in addition, you’ll receive:

• A t-shirt adorned with the STLHE 2011 conference logo
• Entrance to the opening plenary delivered by Dr. Jeanette Norden and closing plenary by Dr. Buffy Sainte-Marie
• Access to attend concurrent sessions when not actively on a volunteer shift
• Free snacks and refreshments during shifts
• A copy of Collected Essays on Learning and Teaching (CELT)
• A letter of appreciation for your teaching portfolio or resume
• Your name entered in a draw for various prizes

You’ll have a chance to be part of a dynamic and dedicated team. You’ll be able to meet noted academics from an array of disciplines and institutions.  You’ll work with a diverse group of dedicated and passionate students, faculty, and staff.  You’ll have fun (we promise)!
