I chose St. Andrew's because of the emphasis on the integration of our theological studies with practical ministry experience and community involvement.
St. Andrew's blessed my life with social struggles and deep faith.
St. Andrew's prepared me
for a lifetime of ministry
and congregational service.
I grew in confidence over time, due in large part to the support of teachers, family and friends and the tenacious presence of the Spirit.
I am grateful for what I have experienced and learned from
St. Andrew’s College including
a strong sense of community.
A pair of St. Andrew’s College professors will introduce their book to The United Church’s Korean community during two events planned for the end of April in Toronto.
HyeRan Kim-Cragg and Don Schweitzer will take part in An Intercultural Adventure Book Launch and seminars to share the book they edited — An Introduction to the United Church of Canada: Key Texts with Introductions and Commentary. The book is available in both English and Korean language versions.
The first event is a open supper and seminar with the Korean United Church Association scheduled for Monday, April 28, 6 p.m., at Onnuri Korean United Church.
A book launch and seminar will follow supper as Kim-Cragg and Schweitzer share the origin, background, and significance of the book, followed by a time for questions and discussion. A theological reflection learned from producing the book will be offered to discuss how to deepen United Church identity and faith formation in light of strengthening ethnic ministry and intercultural ministry.
The following day, Tuesday, April 29, the editors and a group of Korean ministers will gather at Alpha Korean United Church to continue the discussion and plan for next year during a three-hour session that begins at 9:30 a.m.
This event is sponsored by the Responsive Initiatives Grant (Mission & Service) and the book will be available for purchase at a cost of $5 per copy.
The event poster is available for download in PDF format.
