Prof. Giesy was selected to receive the Russell Lectureship Award for 2003. This honor is given annually by the British Soil Science Society for significant contributions in science. Prof. Giesy's lecture was entitled: "Perfluorinated Compounds in the Environment: A Novel Class of Environmental Pollutants."
