Distinguished Professor Title

Toxicology Centre Director, Karsten Liber, awarded the title of Distinguished Professor.

Karsten Liber, Director of the Toxicology Centre and Professor in the School of Environment and Sustainability, was recently awarded the title of Distinguished Professor by the University of Saskatchewan.  The title of “Distinguished Professor” is meant to honour and celebrate exceptional achievement in research, scholarly, or artistic work by University of Saskatchewan faculty or emeriti.  This honorary title is a lifetime award that becomes Distinguished Professor Emeritus upon retirement. 

The title was awarded based on Dr. Liber’s many research accomplishments in aquatic toxicology, his strong national and international reputation, and his outstanding contributions to the University of Saskatchewan, specifically his leadership in moving strategic university priorities from vision to reality.

The appointment is effective July 1, 2014.
