China Scholarship Council Program

Toxicology Participates in the China Scholarship Council Program

In December 2013, the University of Saskatchewan signed a partnership agreement with the China Scholarship Council (CSC) to provide for 20 PhD scholarships and 15 Visiting PhD Students (also called joint student program or sandwich program students).  Chinese students apply initially to USASK, and subsequently to the CSC.  The student must submit an offer of admission from the USASK College of Graduate Studies and Research (CGSR) to the CSC as part of their application.  They must apply to CSC between March 20th to April 5th.  To ensure they receive their offer letter from the CGSR in time to meet this deadline, we require units to make the recommendation fo the CGSR to admit the student no later than March 2, 2015.  Also, official transcripts and language test results (either official or unofficial must be sent to the CGSR as soon as the unit has made the recommendation to admit the student.
