Want a way to give back to your community before you hibernate for finals?

Well, get out with "Get in the Bin". A stop and go event where you, a member of the campus community, can reach out and help the greater Saskatoon Community.

"Get in the Bin" is a volunteer recruitment fair and donation drive (#binning).

This event runs in the North Concourse Upper Place Riel, University of Saskatchewan on:

Tuesday December 3rd 11:30am - 2:30pm

Wednesday December 4th 11:30am - 2:30pm

Thursday December 5th 11:30am - 2:30pm

The Learning Communities and PAL programs have partnered with:

Saskatoon Mothers' Centre
Saskatoon Open Door Society
Avenue Community Centre

...to bring you this volunteering opportunity.

The Wednesday and Thursday time slots will be running in partnership with the USSU and Student Health & Counselling Services Stress Less event. So, come out, get a massage, and "Get in the Bin"! #binning

Items you can donate to the organizations:

Saskatoon Mothers’ Centre

  • New Laptop computer for Treasurer to do financial statements and invoices
  • Desktop computer or laptop – new preferred for Project Coordinator and Staff
  • Quick books accounting software
  • Microsoft Office Suite software
  • Fundraising for overhead and program activities for Mothers centre
  • Pampers, Washable diapers –all size from newborn to size 6
  • Promotional material – posters and brochures, informational booth material


  • toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, soap, deodorant, antiperspirant) – hotel sizes are great
  • toothpaste, tooth brushes, disposable razors, combs, hair brushes, wipes, hand sanitizer, band aids, Kleenex, laundry soap, face cloths
  • Socks, mitts or gloves
