These reports are intended for the university and its community as an informative and unofficial summary of the matters discussed by the board, and include a brief explanation of each agenda item.  The formal record of every meeting is contained in the official minutes, which include the exact wording of each motion considered by the board and the disposition of such motions (including abstentions), and which are normally approved at the next regular meeting of the board.  Further information about the composition of the Board of Governors and its committees, as well as the bylaws and annual work plan of the board and a statement of member roles and responsibilities, are available on the board bylaws page.
