Flag at Half Mast
In Memoriam
The flag on the roof of the Thorvaldson Building is flown at half-mast to pay our respects when a member of our University of Saskatchewan community dies. Usually, this tribute takes place on the day of the funeral.
Our community includes any full-time or part-time student who dies while attending at the University of Saskatchewan, and any member of the faculty or staff, whether full-time, part-time or retired. The flag is also flown at half-mast on the death of the Sovereign, the Prime Minister of Canada, the Premier of the Province, or other distinguished persons as designated by the President, a Vice-President or the University Secretary.
