Item for Action

1. Arts and Science/Biotechnology � changes to the B.Sc. Four-year in Biology and Biotechnology (Appendix One)

The Academic Programs Committee recommends that Council approve the changes in the B.C. Four-year program in Biology and Biotechnology, as described on the attached Recommendation (Appendix One).

Items for Information

Nomenclature Report
The Committee will be reviewing the report of the Nomenclature Subcommittee and distributing it to colleges for comment before bringing it to Council for approval.

Admission Appeals
The Bylaws Committee has asked that the Academic Programs Committee develop principles for college appeal procedures related to admission decisions.

Other issues
Committee chair Bob Lucas is participating in university committees reviewing Prior Learning Assessment and Review (PLAR) and investigating revisions for the Student Information System (SIS). The Committee is also reviewing the program proposal for a Toxicology undergraduate program.
