Re: College of Arts and Science - Double Honours
in Geography
Summary of proposal:
The proposal allows Double Honours programs in Physical Geography
and another subject, or Hunan Geography and another subject.
Students must complete 42 credit units in Geography, calculus and statistics
courses as described in the attached submission.
Rationale:
Student demand for program. See attached submission.
Impact and Relationships:
It is anticipated that the program will provide new opportunities for
students in other programs in Arts and Science. It will have no affect
on other programs.

None.
Committee Comments and Recommendation
This program was approved by Arts and Science in May, 2000 and submitted
for Council approval on Sept. 1, 2000.
Academic Programs Committee:
That the proposal for Double Honours in Geography be approved (Sept.
22, 2000).
Budget Committee:
Approval recommended (Nov. 28, 2000).
Planning Committee:
Approval recommended (Nov. 24, 2000).
Please note that approval of this program was delayed when Academic
Programs Committee requested that parts of the proposal be redrafted before
submission to the Budget and Planning Committees.
