COUNCIL ACTION: For information only

The Academic Programs Committee is reporting to Council on the following items in addition to the report distributed with the agenda:

1.   Motion regarding Computer Engineering

As indicated in the report to Council regarding the Computer Engineering program, the Academic Programs Committee had expressed concern last spring that resources would be needed to deliver this program. 

At its Jan. 20, 2006 meeting, the Academic Programs Committee reviewed the additional information provided by the College of Engineering and the Budget Committee regarding faculty resources for the proposed Computer Engineering program.  The Committee approved the following motion:

That a memo be sent to the Planning Committee to indicate that APC has no further concerns about faculty resources for this program. 

2.     Academic Schedule for 2006-07

The Academic Schedule for 2006-07 is attached for the information of Council. 

Please note that the dates for the first quarter of Spring and Summer Session for May, 2007 have been revised to accommodate the Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences.
