To reduce the risk of fire and associated hazards to health, safety and property when contractors are performing Hot Work operations.
All Hot Work performed by contractors in, on or adjacent to buildings owned or controlled by the University of Saskatchewan must meet the following requirements:
Contracts involving any Hot Work component (s) shall stipulate that failure to meet the above requirements shall be grounds for immediate termination of the contract at the discretion of the University.
The Hot Work Procedures are available at www.usask.ca/dhse/firesafety. The University reserves the right to take any action it deems necessary in the enforcement of this policy.
