Bruno recovering at VMC

A dog that spent 27 days trapped in a well near his family's home is recovering at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine's (WCVM) Veterinary Medical Centre (VMC).

"We're working diligently to provide the best medical care for our patient, Bruno, and we are very happy with his progress," says Dr. Duncan Hockley, VMC director.

Bruno, a seven-year-old chocolate Labrador retriever, is in the intensive care unit. He is in stable condition and is responding well to his initial therapy.  Bruno is receiving treatment from a team of small animal medical clinicians at the VMC and is being managed in collaboration with the WCVM's nutritionist.

"Bruno’s recovery will not be quick, but he is displaying a strong will to live," says Hockley. "I’m very confident that our team can provide the best, specialized care possible for this unique case."
