Your cattle are a priority at the WCVM Veterinary Medical Centre where our large animal clinicians have specialized expertise in a range of veterinary disciplines. Plus, they have access to upgraded facilities, advanced technologies and the latest techniques for diagnosing and treating your animals.
The WCVM's Large Animal Clinic and Field Service provides primary health care and around-the-clock emergency services to cattle producers throughout Saskatchewan. The WCVM Veterinary Medical Centre also serves as the referral centre for all western Canadian veterinarians and their clients.
Inside the Veterinary Medical Centre, clinicians have access to a large animal chute complex, a closed area for large animal and standing surgeries and a biosecure food animal ward.
Our medical imaging capabilities include digital radiography, CT (computed tomography) ultrasound and nuclear scintigraphy. WCVM's bovine health team also works closely with Prairie Diagnostic Services that provides veterinary diagnostic testing for all of Saskatchewan.
Our bovine health team includes board-certified specialists in large animal medicine, surgery and theriogenology — plus clinicians with specialized expertise in dairy and beef medicine, feedlot health management, infectious diseases and neonatal care.
