The WCVM Veterinary Medical Centre serves as the referral centre for all western Canadian veterinarians. Horse owners also rely on the centre's Large Animal Clinic and Field Services for primary health care and around-the-clock emergency services.
Our medical imaging resources include digital radiography, computed tomography (CT), ultrasonography, standing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and nuclear scintigraphy — a key tool for diagnosing challenging lameness cases. Advanced diagnostic testing is also accessible through Prairie Diagnostic Services — the provincial laboratory that’s located next door to the medical centre.
