Small Animal Medicine

The WCVM Veterinary Medical Centre's Small Animal Medicine Service sees out-patient cases for:

• physical exams and vaccinations
• disease prevention counseling
• routine diagnostic procedures
• treatment of uncomplicated diseases
• cardiac work-ups and monitoring.

More complex cases seen by the Medicine Service may require hospitalization and more in-depth procedures or testing. Examples of these cases would include:

• radioactive iodine treatment for hyperthyroidism in cats
• diabetic testing and monitoring
• wound care and treatment.
