Administrative Structure


  

Provost & Vice-President Academic (P&VPA)
Dean of Graduate Studies and Research (DGSR)
(P&VPA has overall responsibility; shared with DGSR when graduate programs are reviewed)
  • responsible for SPR process
  • appoint review team; meet with review team on-site; receive review team's report
  • make recommendations to Planning Committee on review outcome categories
  • meet with program Deans regarding review outcomes and actions where necessary
  • approve review schedule
SPR Executive Committee
  • membership: P&VPA; DGSR; Director of Institutional Planning; Academic Director of SPR, SPR Administrator
  • assists P&VPA and DGSR with reviewer selection, outcomes, scheduling
  • resolves major issues related to SPR
SPR Office
  • membership: Academic Director; Administrator; Secretary
  • conducts day-to-day operations of SPR
Academic Director of SPR (50%)
SPR Administrator (75%)
  • reports to P&VPA and DGSR; supervises coordinating team
  • resolves SPR issues (in consultation with SPR Executive, if required), including issues related to policies, procedures, rescheduling of reviews, reviewer selection, requests and concerns from Deans, programs heads and reviewers
  • coordinates reviewer selection
  • oversees SPR budget; approves expenditures
  • prepares annual reports and other communications related to SPR
  • oversees development of templates, guidelines, website
  • reports to Academic Director; supervises secretary
  • primary contact point for SPR inquiries and activities
  • tracks progress of reviews
  • oversees arrangements for site visits; meets with reviewers on-site
  • oversees transmission of documents to reviewers
  • assists Academic Director with reports and other communications
  • itinerary scheduling
SPR Secretary (100%)
  • schedules meetings
  • schedules site visits
  • makes hotel reservations for reviewers; processes expense claims and other invoices
  • reconciles monthly accounts
  • assists with statistical reports and obtaining information on nominees
  • some website maintenance
  • general clerical support
