The 13-member Research, Scholarly and Artistic Work Committee makes recommendations to University Council on issues relating to the conduct and application of research and scholarly work at the University of Saskatchewan.

• Powers and Duties of the Research Committee

  • To identify, consider and make recommendations to Council on issues relating to the conduct and application of research and scholarly work at the University of Saskatchewan. To recommend to Council on research policy at the U of S. To recommend to Council on the ethics of research at the U of S. To provide advice on issues relating to the granting agencies which provide funding to the U of S. To examine proposals for the establishment of any research institute, or similar unit, at the University, and to make appropriate recommendations to the Planning Committee of Council.
  • To promote opportunities for community engaged in the research, scholarly and artistic work activities of the University.
  • To receive an annual report on matters related to research from the Office of Research Services, the Associate Vice-President Research, and the Dean of Graduate Studies and Research.
