Tamzin, is it possible for you to send me that document about things to consider in designing enrichment? My e-mail is susana.canteiro@oniduo.pt Many thanks! Susana Canteiro Subject: Ultrasound Vocalizations as a parameter in chronic pain research From: joseph stookey Date: Thu, 12 Jul 2007 13:36:40 -0600 To: applied-ethology network This message was sent to me by Ronald Bulthuis. If you want to contact Ronald directly you can reach him at: Ronald@metris.nl -------------------------------- Hello everyone, I have a question related to the use of ultrasound vocalizations in animal experiments. There seems to be a lot of debate whether ultrasound vocalizations is a good parameter in animal models for chronic pain. As a supplier of measurement equipment for the detection and analysis of Ultrasound Calls in laboratory animals, we are more and more confronted with this question. I would like to know if there are researchers on the Applied Ethology List using Ultrasound Vocalisations in pain or anxiety research that can shine some light on this. I'm interested to know if there are recent publications on this and like to hear about experiences with USV in cancer, artritus or other chronic or continuous pain research. I would appreciate any leads. regards Emily
