They replaced the hulls after every two trips. Interesting but not relevant to my query. My question has to do with the temperature of rice hulls as it relates to animal transport, especially swine transport. Do rice hulls retain heat? I know straw is not recommended for swine transport. The temperature and humidity in Columbia is quite high. When I was there it was 43 degrees C. I did not visit any swine producers, but just wondering if rice hulls are a good transport bedding in hot climates for swine and other animals. Jennifer Jennifer L. For descriptive/exploratory (ie, not hypothesis driven) studies, are these tests overly conservative? Or do people generally prefer to read papers with corrected P values regardless of whether type II errors have been committed? Thanks!
