Admissions Requirements: Large Animal Clinical Sciences
Master of Science (MSc)
Admission Requirements
Non-veterinary graduates may be accepted into non-clinical MSc programs.
Degree Requirements
Students must maintain a continuous registration in the VLAC 994 course.
A minimum of 15 credit units, plus the following requirements:
- VLAC 990
- VLAC 994
- In general, a minimum of one academic year must be spent in residence so as to ensure that students fully benefit from participation in the
departmental seminars and other interactions with faculty and fellow
graduate students.
Master of Veterinary Science (MVetSc)
Admission Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent.
Degree Requirements
A minimum of 30 credit units, plus the following requirements:
- VLAC 990
- VLAC 992
- In general, a minimum of one academic year must be spent in residence so
as to ensure that students fully benefit from participation in the
departmental seminars and other interactions with faculty and fellow
graduate students.
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
Non-veterinary graduates may be accepted into non-clinical PhD programs.
Admission Requirements
- Master of Science (MSc) or Master of Veterinary Science (MVetSc).
Degree Requirements
Students must maintain continuous registration in the VLAC 996 course.
A minimum of six credit units beyond the MSc minimum, plus the following requirements:
- VLAC 990
- VLAC 996
- In general, a minimum of one academic year must be spent in residence so
as to ensure that students fully benefit from participation in the

graduate students.
