The Tracker Publication Archives

The Tracker was, at one time, a news magazine for the bison, elk and deer industries, reporting on events, meetings and conventions, auction and competition results, mostly from western Canada. In addition to news it sometimes featured information articles, and perhaps the most useful of these were written by veterinarian Gerald Hauer. Over the brief period when The Tracker was published, Gerald was an Alberta veterinary practitioner primarily working with bison, elk and deer. Currently he is the Chief Veterinarian for the Province of Alberta.

Since the Tracker is no longer being published and has gone out of business, ownership of the copyright to the material appearing below is uncertain. The material appears on various websites related to bison and deer without assigning copyright so I'm assuming that the rights probably revert to the author of the material.  If those authors object to the use of their material on this website I urge them to contact me and their material will be withdrawn.
