The 2012 edition of the feedlot school is designed for owners and managers of backgrounding and finishing lots. As you know, hiring and retaining high quality employees and managing risk are pivotal concerns to every feedlot manager in Canada. As such, we have made these topics the central focus of this year's feedlot school.

• Day 1: Employee recruitment (domestic and international) as well as retention and creating a positive workplace environment.
• Day 2: Managing risk, specifically price, grain, currency and basis risk. Learn the tools you need to ensure a positive return on your investment.
• Day 3: Nutrition and health
