• Dr. Hans-Joachim Braun, Director, Global Wheat Program, CIMMYT, International Maize and Wheat Improvement Centre: "Meeting the need for food security in the 21st century."

Dr. Hans-Joachim Braun is Director of the Global Wheat Program at CIMMYT, International Maize and Wheat Improvement Centre. CIMMYT's Global Wheat Program develops and distributes wheat germplasm to more than 180 co-operators in over 100 countries.

Dr. Braun has contributed to the development and release of 44 winter wheat varieties and has received the Chinese Friendship Award for contribution to wheat improvement in Gansu Province.
