To encourage student-driven innovations in One Health, Dr. Brian Evans of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Dr. Mark Raizenne of the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) established a $10,000 fund that will support University of Saskatchewan students’ efforts to enhance One Health initiatives on campus and in the community.
The fund was created after the inaugural One Health Leadership Experience for health science students that was held on the U of S campus in August 2012.
If you are a U of S student who has an idea for a potential One Health project, you are welcome to apply for project funding:
The deadline for project applications is March 1, 2013. All completed applications must be submitted to Dr. Douglas Freeman, dean of the Western College of Veterinary Medicine and chair of the U of S Council of Health Science Deans.
