Supporters of the Western College of Veterinary Medicine can contribute to graduate students' research programs and activities through several different avenues:
C.E. DOIGE FUND
This fund was created by a large number of donations in memory of Dr. Cecil Earl (C.E.) Doige, a long-time faculty member of the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. If you would like to contribute to the C.E. Doige Fund, additional gifts are welcome.
Each year, the C.E. Doige Fund supports one or more travel grants for WCVM graduate students who are registered in a full-time program of study. Priority is given to graduate students who are presenting research findings at scientific meetings. However, students who are not making presentations may also apply.
GRADUATE STUDENT EDUCATION ENHANCEMENT FUND
The Graduate Student Education Enhancement Fund has two main objectives:
to provide full or partial scholarship and fellowships at the WCVM. The College currently offers six annual scholarships worth $8,000 each to graduate students.
to enhance and augment the graduate student experience at the veterinary college. This may include potential funding for specific equipment purchases, learning opportunities or infrastructure improvements.
Since its creation in 2007, the Graduate Student Education Enhancement Fund has provided the College with more flexibility in helping faculty members to attract exceptional graduate students who are being pursued by multiple educational institutions.
