Externships

When expertise in a certain discipline or animal health area isn't available at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine, senior veterinary students have the option of arranging an externship at another institution or practice in North America.

Before the externship application deadline of January 31, students must:

• complete and submit the Objectives and Location Proposal Form and Faculty Support Form
• complete and submit the Cover Page
• arrange to have the external supervisor submit the Externship Supervisor Agreement Form.

Students must submit their Externship Evaluation Form within two weeks of completing their externships.
