Scholarships and Bursaries

General Information

Over 170 various awards with an accumulated value of more than $250,000 are available to students enrolled in the Western College of Veterinary Medicine's DVM program.

The U of S Academic Services and Financial Assistance Office administers some of these awards while others are overseen by the WCVM Awards Committee. Many of these scholarships and bursaries have specific deadline dates, selection criteria and submission requirements.

Application Process

Bursaries: To be eligible for any of the University or WCVM administered bursaries, you must:

• Complete the Awards Application for Continuing Bursaries along with the Financial Need Calculator by the October 1 deadline date.

 Scholarships: To be eligible for U of S-administered scholarships, you must:

• Complete an Awards Application for Continuing Scholarships by the deadline date of June 1.

• Review the scholarship requirements on the U of S Student Financial Assistance and Award web site.

Current WCVM Bursaries and Scholarships

• View the list of bursaries available to students (Years 1 to 4) at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine.
• View the list of WCVM student scholarships (Years 1 to 4) that are presented during the annual WCVM Fall Awards program (held every September).
• View the list of WCVM student scholarships (Year 4) that are presented during the annual WCVM Graduate Banquet (held every May).
