Surgery Service

The Small Animal Surgery Service performs elective surgery for:

  • feline and canine spays
  • feline and canine castrations
  • feline declaws (front feet only)
  • removal of dewclaws
  • dental cleanings and extractions
Hospital stays for these animals range from one to three days. Call the reception area for details and prices.

More complex cases seen by the Surgery Service may require longer hospitalization and more in-depth procedures or testing. Some of these would include:

  • total hip replacement
  • fracture repair
  • open heart surgery
