Teaching and Clinical Areas

Dr. Flood is committed to teaching in all areas of anatomy and to acquiring and sharing high quality digital images that can be used for teaching. At present, his time is taken up mainly with scientific writing.

Research Interests

Dr. Flood's main interest is the ecophysiology of reproduction in ungulates, especially muskoxen. He has special expertise in placental morphology, early development, and reproductive and metabolic changes with season. Recently he has developed an interest in trace mineral nutrition and in the pathogenesis of spongiform encephalopathies.
