Teaching and Clinical Areas

• Dr. Kidney teaches undergraduate clinical pathology to the second and fourth year veterinary students (VTPA 346 and VTPA 580, respectively), and graduate diagnostic clinical pathology (VTPA 850-853), hematology (VTPA 810) and chemistry (VTPA 811).  She is also the clinical pathology faculty advisor for the WCVM Student chapter of the ACVP.  She participates in the diagnostic clinical pathology duty roster for Prairie Diagnostic Services (PDS) during which time she is usually also teaching clinical pathology graduate students. 

Research Interests

• Dr. Kidney’s research interests include applied clinical studies in veterinary clinical pathology, molecular oncology, viral oncogenesis (particularly papillomavirus), equine sarcoids, gene expression in cancer and feline vaccine site sarcomas.
