Teaching and Clinical Areas
Dr. Marqués was a successful equine practitioner for more than 15 years in Argentina. His experience was focused primarily in the areas of theriogenology, neonatology and sports medicine on very well established Thoroughbred stud farms and equine facilities.
In 2005, he completed his board certification in Large animal internal medicine at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. During his residency, Dr. Marqués was awarded the 2004 Large Animal "Resident of the Year Award."
Research Interests
Dr. Marqués' research interests include infectious diseases, sepsis and inflammation as well as the immune response to infection and vaccine formulation.
