Where to Start

Requesting Web Space

WWW - U of S colleges, departments, and administrative units are eligible for 100 MB of space on the main WWW server. Additional space may be available on request.

Homepage - U of S faculty, staff and students are eligible for 50 MB of personal web space on the Homepage server.

Weblogs - U of S faculty, staff and students are also eligible for space on the Blogs server.

Other Servers - Additional space may be available on college and department servers. Policies and procedures vary according to each unit.

Setting up a Web Account

Web accounts are provided to U of S employees and/or information providers authorized by the appropriate unit head. Account request forms are available at the Help Desk. Off-campus information providers may access institutional servers via sftp or ssh.

Creating a Website

Web templates that include the University's revised logo and accompanying visuals are available on request.

Web development services are available through Educational Media Access and Production (EMAP).
