Some WSRU members suggested that the WSRU set up a mailing list to facilitate the exchange of information and discussion and networking. What a great idea! This mailing list is being set up. Check back here to sign up. The WSRU updates the blog a few times per month. The blog includes breaking news, announcements, call for papers, events, etc. The blog headlines are also posted on the WSRU home page to provide quick access to news and notes. Please email Marie Green with news and notes to be posted on the blog. WSRU Newsletter The WSRU publishes a newsletter on an occasional basis. The newsletter contains information on WSRU and other on-campus events of interest to women; profiles of grant winners; reviews of recent books and other publications; announcements of conferences; job advertisements; notice of credit course offerings in the Dept. of Women's and Gender Studies. If your unit or organization wishes to place an announcement in the newsletter, or if you wish to publish a book review or other article of interest to women, please call 966-7524. Conference proceedings: The WSRU publishes the proceedings of it various conferences, including the Special WSRU Symposium on Feminist Research. Seminar series announcements: Members receive individual announcements of presentations by women writers and researchers sponsored by the WSRU. Organizational Structure Duly elected members serve on the Executive, which is headed by a chair or two co-chairs. All members are encouraged to serve on the Executive, on subcommittees, and on ad-hoc committees engaged in project development and execution. The Unit is supported by membership fees and a grant from the University of Saskatchewan. In the past, general membership meetings were held annually to hear reports from Executive and committee representatives, to propose and approve constitutional amendments, to nominate and elect Executive members, and to provide input for future WSRU projects and events. Currently, members of the Executive work with Marie Green to recruit new members to replace outgoing members.
