The Data Governance Framework document has been developed to support the university's Data Management Policy. This document describes the data governance framework for University of Saskatchewan (USask) institutional data. It identifies designated roles within the university that have specific decision-making accountabilities regarding institutional data, as well as defines the roles and accountabilities for data stewardship and data management.
In support of the framework, the Data Classifications document describes the classes used to classify institutional data based on its sensitivity. The Usask data classifications helps members of the university community to identify, understand, manage, and use university data appropriately.
Data Handling and Storage Guidelines have been developed to help the university community know which services are preferred for storing and sharing university data. These guidelines may not address all situations or data needs. Contact IT support if you have any questions about the best way to store and share data for your area.
