This biodiversity informatics-based project will ensure the interoperability, compatibility of the different databases from Canadian herbaria. This initiative will make this data network originated from the main systematic and biological collections of Canada accessible to the general community via a user-friendly web portal. This network will be compatible with the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF) and the Canadian Biodiversity Information Facility (CBIF), thus consolidating Canadian and international collaborations and providing opportunities for new research partnerships in biodiversity and sustainable development.
