All NRP Instructors are required to attend a 7th edition update by September 30, 2017 to maintain their status as Instructors with the CPS. Plan on attending one of the upcoming launches to find out what’s new in NRP, hone your simulation & debriefing skills, recharge your NRP ‘teaching batteries’ and network with colleagues from across Saskatchewan.

Eligibility to attend the NRP Instructor Update:
Registration is open to all Saskatchewan NRP Instructors who are considered to have active or current status with the Canadian Paediatrics Society NRP program.  

If you are uncertain as to your status, or if your status has lapsed and you wish to renew your status, please contact SK. NRP Steering Committee Chair Roxanne Laforge at to inquire.

Pre-Course Preparation

Upon completing your registration, you will be sent a confirmation letter from the CCDE Online registration letter.  A Launch Reading Package will also be sent to you electronically from CME.  Please ensure you enter your e-mail in correctly when registering to ensure you receive the course materials.

The NRP Instructor Manual has not been updated for the 2015 guidelines.  The Canadian Paediatric Society is currently developing a Resource / Reference Guide for Canadian Instructors.  More details will be made available at the course.

All NRP Instructors are required to complete the NRP On-line Exam prior to renewing their Instructor status in accordance with the CPS 3-year cycle.  Instructors are encouraged to complete the exam prior to the NRP Instructor Update and are strongly encouraged to complete the exam prior to teaching the 7th edition content. The 7th edition exam is available on the NRP website at
