Workshop Overview

The course is intended for practitioners (nurses, physicians, registered midwives) who want to learn the current fundamental concepts related to fetal health surveillance. It is designed for:

  • New obstetrical care providers as an adjunct to their facility orientation program.
  • Care providers with clinical experience who want to review knowledge, skills and clinical decision making.

Pre-workshop preparation includes the study of the Fetal Health Surveillance On-line Learning Modules from the Centre of Excellence for Simulation Education & Innovation. There are testing components associated with both the FHS On-line modules and the workshop session. At completion of this course participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance. This in no way implies clinical competence in the content area, but indicates the participant has completed the course as outlined.
