Individual File Sharing and Storage (ownCloud)

With ownCloud you can access your U of S files from anywhere on any device including your desktop, laptop, and Apple and Android mobile devices. The U of S ownCloud makes it easy to share files with people on and off campus in a safe and secure manner.

Getting Started

Access ownCloud Online via your Web Browser

  1. Visit
  2. Log in with your NSID and password (an account has already been created for you).


NOTE: The first time you log in you will see a blank page.


Access ownCloud Through WebDav: 

  1. Windows OS
  2. Apple OS

Access ownCloud through the Desktop App (Windows and Mac)

The ownCloud Desktop Client enables you to keep existing workflows, seamlessly syncing the files from your desktop to your ownCloud server. 

To download the ownCloud Desktop App on a university-managed computer visit Software Center (Windows) or Self Service (Mac). For personal devices use the following links:

  3. Linux

After installing the desktop app, you will go through a Connection Wizard. 

Please enter the following

Server Address:

Username: Your NSID

Password: Your PAWS password

Access ownCloud via the iOS ownCloud App

The U of S ownCloud app for iOS is designed for both iPhone and iPad devices. You must download U of S ownCloud from the iTunes store

Access ownCloud via the Android ownCloud App

The U of S ownCloud app for Android is designed for mobile devices running on an Android platform. You must download U of S ownCloud from the Google Play store.
