Wireless - Set-up Guide for Linux

NOTE: There are many different flavours of Linux, each with their own GUI interface and your OS may be different than this version.

1. Open Settings and then Network and access the Wireless tab.


2. Click on uofs-secure from the list of available wireless networks.

An Authentication window will pop up

3. Set the following fields:

  • Wi-Fi Security: WPA & WPA2 Enterprise
  • Authentication: Protected EAP (PEAP)
  • CA Certificate: See step four.
  • PEAP Verison: Automatic
  • Inner authentication: MSCHAPv2
  • Username: Your NSID@usask.ca (ie. abc123@usask.ca)
  • Password: Your PAWS password

4. To set the CA Certificate field

  • Click on it.
  • Navigate to /usr/share/ca-certificates/mozilla and select the DigiCert_Global_Root_CA.crt.
  • Click Open


5. Click Connect.
