A mandatory course during which the student is assigned to Internal Medicine Services including the Clinical Teaching Unit, Cardiology and Neurology, for 1 to 4 week periods. During these rotations the student is assigned to a call schedule. MED 505 also includes an Outpatient (or Clinic) rotation during which the student is assigned to various subspecialty outpatient (or office) clinics. In both phases, students are responsible for assessing patients, developing a treatment plan and, in some cases, evaluating its results, all under the supervision of Residents and/or Faculty.
