Biology 110.6 is being replaced. All students who were intending to register in Biology 110.6 will now register in Biology 120.3 and Biology 121.3 unless you are:
- Agriculture & Bioresources students majoring in Animal Science: register in Biology 120.3 and Biology 224.3
- Kinesiology students: register in Biology 120.3 and Biology 224.3
- Students at Off-Campus Sites: register in Biology 110.6. (Contact your off-campus site for permission to register.)
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Program
Applicants wishing to enter the four-year pharmacy program are required to have completed one year (30 credit units) of pre-pharmacy studies. These studies may be undertaken in the College of Arts & Science. To complete the courses required in the pre-pharmacy year, applicants will normally need to have credit for the following high school subjects: English A30 and B30, Mathematics B30 and C30, Biology 30 and Chemistry 30. Physics 30 is also recommended. The pre-pharmacy program consists of the following university courses or their equivalents:
1. BIOL 120.3 and BIOL 121.3 (previously BIOL 110.6)
2. CHEM 112.3 or 115.3
3. CHEM 250.3
4. ENG 110.6 (or two of ENG 111.3, 112.3, 113.3 or 114.3) or LIT 100.6 or FREN 121.3 (or 122.3) and 125.3
5. Electives (12 credit units of courses in humanities, social sciences or fine arts of which 6 credit units must be one of PSY 110.6, SOC 110.6, PHIL 110.6 (or PHIL 120.3 and 133.3), or NS 105.3 and 106.3.)
Aboriginal Applicants
(Saskatchewan Residents only)
Four first year spaces are reserved for persons of Aboriginal descent. Applicants will be required to complete the courses of the pre-pharmacy year and obtain a cumulative average of at least 70% or higher on university courses completed. Applicants of Aboriginal descent will compete within this category, not against the entire applicant pool. Applicants should identify themselves as Aboriginal on the application for admission.
