Biology 110.6 is being replaced. All students who were intending to register in Biology 110.6 will now register in Biology 120.3 and Biology 121.3 unless you are:
- Agriculture & Bioresources students majoring in Animal Science: register in Biology 120.3 and Biology 224.3
- Kinesiology students: register in Biology 120.3 and Biology 224.3
- Students at Off-Campus Sites: register in Biology 110.6. (Contact your off-campus site for permission to register.)
Officers of the University
The
Chancellor is elected by members of Convocation and holds office for three years. The Chancellor presides over Convocation, confers degrees and is a member & Chair of the Senate and a member of the Board of Governors.
Various university officers are appointed by the Board of Governors.
The
President, who is also the Vice-Chancellor, has general supervision over and direction of the academic work of the University, the teaching staff and student body. No person can be appointed a member of the teaching staff of the University unless nominated by the President, and no member of the teaching staff can be promoted or removed except upon the recommendation of the President, but before recommending for appointments, an advisory committee must be consulted.
The
Vice-President Academic and Provost, the
Vice-President Finance and Resources, and the
Vice-President Research assist the President.
Deans of Colleges are chief executive officers of their colleges, having, subject to the authority of the President, general supervision over the direction of the work of the teaching and training of the students in all departments of their colleges.
Heads of Departments have general supervision and direction of the work of their departments, assigning teaching duties to the members following consultation with them in committee.
The Controller, the University Secretary, and the Registrar have the usual duties of persons in those positions.
