Admission Decisions and Appeals
Authority over admission decisions, including appeals in a direct entry College/degree program (Agriculture and Bioresources, Arts & Science, Edwards School of Business, Education [Concurrent], Engineering, Kinesiology, and Open Studies), resides in
Admissions, Student and Enrolment Services. Exceptions to this policy are Special (Mature) Admission and readmission of individuals with two or more previous faculty actions. Authority for these decisions resides in the respective college or the Open Studies Faculty Council.
Authority over admission decisions, including appeals in a non direct entry college/degree program (Dentistry, Education [Sequential], Law, Medicine, Nursing [Post Registration], Nutrition, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, and Veterinary Medicine) resides in the college that has academic authority over the program.
Grounds for an appeal of an admission decision shall be limited to (1) unit procedural errors, or (2) evidence that the information used in the decision was wrong or incomplete. Failure by the applicant to provide accurate and complete information in accordance with the admission policy is not grounds for an appeal.
