Northern Teacher Education Program (NORTEP)
Based in La Ronge, this off-campus program is offered jointly by the University of Saskatchewan and the University of Regina.
The objective of the program is to provide an opportunity for northern residents, preferably with fluency in an Aboriginal language, to become certified teachers.

Northwest Territories Teacher Education Program (NWTEP)
A partnership between the College of Education and Aurora College, students enrol in a Three-year program leading to a teaching certificate or a Four-year B.Ed. program at Fort Smith, Thebaca Campus or the University of Saskatchewan.

Practical and Applied Arts

Saskatchewan Urban Native Teacher Education Program (SUNTEP)
This program is designed for Métis and Non-Status First Nations/Aboriginal students. The program is offered in two centres, Prince Albert and Saskatoon. Besides meeting the regular program requirements, SUNTEP students are required to take courses which will assist them to teach Aboriginal students, especially those in urban centres.
