Transfer Credit
The admission of applicants with
Transfer Credits or transferring from other post-secondary institutions, is governed by the following criteria:
- The applicant must have a sufficiently high academic standing to be eligible to continue in an engineering program at the last institution he or she attended. An applicant who has been advised or Required to Discontinue elsewhere, either temporarily or permanently, will not normally be accepted.
- Credit for courses taken elsewhere may be granted on a course by course basis following an assessment of the transcripts by Admissions, in consultation with the College of Engineering.
- The criteria for granting credit for courses taken elsewhere also depends on the student’s program meeting the criteria of the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board.
To obtain a B.E. degree from the University of Saskatchewan, students transferring from another university must fulfill the program requirements, of which up to 54 credit units may be obtained through transfer courses.
The Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board criteria may limit the number of transfer courses that can be given credit towards the B.E. degree.
Transfer applicants must submit application forms by May 1.
