Kinesiology
Degrees Offered: M.Sc. and Ph.D.
The Master of Science program is linked to the sport and exercise science research interests in the college: biomechanics, exercise physiology, growth and development, health and physical activity, body composition, motor control, nutrition and physical activity, and sport and exercise psychology.
Admission Qualifications: Undergraduate 4 year degree in Kinesiology or related area.
Total Minimum Credit Units Required: - Master’s: 12 credit units, including KIN 990, 994
- Ph.D.: 3 credit units, including KIN 990, 996
- Transfer from Master’s to Ph.D: 15 credit units, including KIN 990, 996
- Core Courses: Fully qualified M.Sc. students are required to complete KIN 807.3, plus 12 other credit units; at least 9 of these 12 credit units must be at the 800-level within the College of Kinesiology
- Exam Requirements: Comprehensive exam for Ph.D.
Residency Requirements: - Master’s: 1 academic term (Sept-April)
- Ph.D.: 2 academic terms (Sept-April)
