B.Sc.(Kin.) Honours Program
The College of Kinesiology offers an Honours Program in Exercise and Sport Studies to students of proven academic ability, providing them with an opportunity to pursue a more advanced program of studies within this area of specialization.
Admission: Students will apply to the honours program in Term 2 of Year 3; contact the Academic Advisor for the deadline for applications. Applicants must have a Cumulative Weighted Average of 70% on the following courses common to the first two years of undergraduate programs: 6 credit units in BIOL; 6 credit units in English; MATH 101.3; (or MATH 110.3); KIN 121.3, 122.3, 150.3, 222.3, 225.3, 226.3, 231.3, 322.3, 380.3; ACB 221.3; STAT 245.3 (or PLSC 314.3 or PSY 233.3). A minimum of 30 credit units of the first two years curriculum must be courses taken at the University of Saskatchewan. Admission will be competitive. Successful applicants will be notified by May 30th of their third year.
Program: Students accepted into the Honours Program must follow the Exercise and Sport Studies Curriculum in the first three years. The fourth year requirements for the Honours Program are as follows:
Year 4 (30 credit units)
KIN 432.3; KIN 490.3; KIN 494.6; KIN electives (9 credit units); outside electives (6 credit units); unrestricted electives (3 credit units).
